Free doesn’t mean bad, it means to attract attention and recognition.
Pay is a reward for your hard work!
In this era, recording an electric guitar in a professional studio or your home studio setup has two possibilities. Recording an amp with a microphone, which needs a soundproof environment or doing it in the digital domain using an amp simulator.
If you are a newcomer to the amp simulators world and trying to move into the digital domain realm, probably the best way to be introduced to it, is to try some free options.
To develop a free amp simulator doesn’t always mean that the developers are cutting corners!
It’s actually a presentation to the world of what your plugins are capable of. It’s a piece of showcase with just a little less options, but at the same time gives the world of guitar players a chance to try and make a decision for future upgrades.
Our amp simulator Amplifikation Lite is exactly that. It’s a piece of our full range of amp simulators, using the same technology and DSP. The design behind the dsp and the modeling of the amp topology is coming from our chairman and dsp guru Arie. His journey started long ago while studying computer programming and engineering in the university while also performing with his band, then his dream to have a studio ready guitar tones in his computer “forced” him to do it by himself.
After many sleepless nights of coding, he released some free amp sims to the world under the name Aradaz – his nickname. Receiving feedback from the growing online forum communities and hearing people’s recordings pushed him to achieve more. As YJM says: ”More is more!”
He dug deeper and around 2010 the first commercial amp simulator was released under the hood of his dream – Kuassa. In 2022, we reached a point where our products are used by many professional musicians all around the world.

In this example we will use the Efektor GQ3607 Graphic Equalizer, to boost the amp and shape the input as a clean boost and then split two amp instances of the amp in the container module and achieve a huge and wide stereo rhythm guitar tone.
